ソーシャルワークの成果をたたえ、共有される未来を楽しみに

IFSWメンバーの皆さま

今年も目覚ましい一年でした。この年が終わりに近づく今、世界中の私たち専門職としての大きな貢献と成果を振り返ってみたいと思います。ソーシャルワーカーは革新的な変化の中心であり、全ての人々にとってより良い世界を作るために、不断の努力を続けています。

さまざまな課題に満ちた年にも、ソーシャルワーカーは、紛争、政治的混乱、自然災害、その他の困難な局面に直面する人々やコミュニティを支援する柱であり続けています。あなた方のゆるぎない献身としなやかさによって、数えきれないほどの人々の生活に重要な変化がもたらされたことでしょう。

新年に向けて、私たちは2024年の新しいグローバルアジェンダのテーマ「ブエン ヴィヴィール：革新的な変化のために共有される未来」を歓迎いたします。このテーマは、ソーシャルワーカーが、先住民の知恵と自然との調和に基づく革新的なコミュニティ主導のアプローチを採用する必要性を強調しています。これは、ポジティブな変化の推進や、互いへの尊重と持続可能性に基づいて繫栄するコミュニティを育む上で、ソーシャルワーカーが果たす革新的な役割のタイムリーなリマインダーとして機能してくれることでしょう。

３月の世界ソーシャルワークデー記念イベント、４月のパナマでの総会とSWSD会議で、皆さまと対面またはオンラインでつながる機会を心から楽しみにしています。これらのイベントは、私たちソーシャルワーカーの経験、洞察、そして今後の戦略を共有するためのプラットフォームとなります。

私たちは、最も弱いメンバーと同じくらい強い、ということを覚えておくことはとても大切なことです。私たちの多様性、社会正義への共通の取り組みは、私たちの共同体としての強みです。私たちは、力を合わせることで、より大きなことを達成できるのです。新しい年も、皆さまと協力して、人々の生活にポジティブな影響を与えられる年になることを願っています。

皆さまにとって、楽しいホリデーシーズン、成功に満ちた一年になりますように、お祈り申しあげます。ご献身とご尽力に感謝いたします。

Year-End Message: Celebrating Social Work Achievements and Looking Forward to a Shared Future

Dear IFSW Members,

As we approach the end of another remarkable year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible contributions and achievements of our profession worldwide. Social workers are the heart and soul of transformative change, tirelessly working to create a better world for all.

In a year filled with challenges, social workers have continued to be the pillars of support for individuals and communities facing ongoing crises, whether it be conflict, political turmoil, natural disasters, or any other adversity. Your unwavering dedication and resilience have made a significant difference in countless lives.

Looking ahead to the new year, we are excited to embrace the global agenda theme for 2024: “Buen Vivir: Shared Future for Transformative Change.” This theme emphasises the need for social workers to adopt innovative, community-led approaches that are grounded in indigenous wisdom and harmonious coexistence with nature. It serves as a timely reminder of the transformative role social workers play in driving positive change and fostering communities that thrive on mutual respect and sustainability.

We eagerly anticipate the celebration of World Social Work Day in March and the opportunity to connect with all of you at the General Meeting and the SWSD Conference in Panama in April, be it in person or virtual. These events will provide us with a platform to share our experiences, insights, and strategies for the year ahead.

It is crucial to remember that we are only as strong as our weakest member. Our collective strength lies in our diversity and our shared commitment to social justice. Together, we can achieve greater things, and we look forward to another year of making a positive impact in the lives of the people we serve.
